Sometimes confidence starts with someone else believing in you first.Performance Ensemble Coach Mateo Ayala sees it happen with his students. A student hesitates. Says, “I can’t do that.” And Mateo gets to step in with a little encouragement and a lot of trust.“If I’m asking you I’m pretty sure you can do it, I know you can do it. I trust that you can.”Then comes the moment Mateo loves most: when “I don’t know if I can do that” becomes “I did it.”That’s bigger than playing the right notes.
