Community Ensembles Season Finale Concert

Kicking off the afternoon, the Peninsula Youth Jazz Band will set the stage with a vibrant mix of jazz classics, from Tenor Madness by Sonny Rollins, All of You by Cole Porter, and Blue Bossa by Kenny Dorham, to Birdland by Josef Zaqinul, and The Chicken by Alfred James Ellis.

The Peninsula Youth Orchestra takes the stage for the second half, with music from the longing in Dvořák’s Largo and the passion of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture to the renewal of Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps and the childhood comfort of Mancini’s Baby Elephant Walk, the program captures home in all its forms. The journey continues with the powerful themes of Jesus Christ Superstar and the emotional odyssey of Bohemian Rhapsody, creating an experience that brings you home—emotionally, spiritually, and musically.
